2008 Fall Community Grants

The Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation awarded $101,540 to 22 local non-profit organizations. Grants were awarded to organizations in Huron, Perkins, Oxford Township, Sandusky and Vermilion. Approximately 38% of grants were awarded to organizations that serve all of Erie County.

$3,000 For stage lighting

Museum of Carousel Art and History
$10,000 For building truck pointing

Sandusky Concert Association
$1,000 For a careers in theatre program

Sandusky State Theatre
$10,000 For Christmas in the City windows

$2,500 Pledge payment for re-opening

Great Lakes Historical Society
$2,500 For Battle of Lake Erie study

Firelands Symphony
$3,000 For holiday concerts

Erie County Libraries
$2,000 For books for the BIG READ

$15,000 For public transporation for employees needing transportation along the Rt. 250 corridor.

Oxford Township
$5,000 To establish an endowment fund for the benefit of Oxford Township

Grants were awarded to organizations in Huron, Kelleys Island, Perkins Township, Sandusky and Vermilion. Approximately 44% of the grant funds were awarded to organizations that serve the entire county.
