Funding from the Community Foundation was used as a local match to secure a 4-year state grant for a watershed education coordinator.
Field of Interest Funds support a general interest or a specific geographic area in Erie County. The Community Foundation's Distribution Committee accepts requests and recommends projects for funding twice per year, in conjunction with the grant cycle for the Community Grants program. To apply for funding from a Field of Interest Fund, please complete the Community Grants application.The Foundation does not make grants to individuals; distributions from the Field of Interest Funds are made to non-profit organizations only.







Field of Interest Funds and their purposes include:


The Lake Erie Environmental Education Fund
$1,500 To the Old Woman Creek for matching funds for a grant to support the Pipe Creek Watershed coordinator program

The Buckeye Cablevision Fund
$1,014 For Cancer Services of Erie County, for medical equipment

The Children's Health Fund
$750 For Veggie. U., for fourth grade nutrition program
