The mission of the Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation is to develop a permanent endowment, to identify and respond to community needs, and to facilitate charitable giving.

The Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation was incorporated in 1995. In the fifteen years since its founding, the Foundation has grown from assets of $1.8 million to more than $13 million today. The Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in grants and scholarships for the benefit of Erie County residents.
